VITALpeople have a specialist Trades Labour Division that delivers some real points of difference, in a crowded market place. We can add real value to your organisation as a service provider who offers genuine commitment to quality and service.
Each member of the service team within our Trades Labour Division has more over 10 years direct experience of site management and supply into the Construction Industry. We know what it takes to build up a successful recruitment partnership with our customers and we have drawn on that experience to create a business that is totally focussed on delivering beyond customer expectations.
At VITALpeople Trades Labour, we specialise in the supply of only the highest calibre of skilled labour and we pride ourselves on our strict recruitment and compliance processes and the quality of service that results from our approach. We concentrate on the delivery of high standards of staff and service that benefits our customers rather than focussing on high volumes of supply at the expense of quality. We guarantee to our customers that only the best candidates are put forward for every position we fill.
The Account Managers and Consultants who work for VITALpeople Trades Labour Division are construction/access/facilities management industry experienced professionals, who have a genuine understanding of the recruitment and management challenges faced within the Trades and Construction industries.
The vast majority of the contract labour requirements we support are filled by workers with previous experience of working in a similar environment and skillset to the one occupied by our customers. Our talent acquisition strategies are always focussed on recruiting skilled workers from the UK via relevant portals and by using our established network of skilled labour – VITALpeople do not engage in direct overseas recruitment.
In contrast to many of our competitors in this market, VITALpeople conducts a face to face interview and formal registration with every worker that we place on assignments with our customers. This enables us to screen candidates based on a broader range of attributes than simply their skills. We can ensure that the workers that we place have the correct skills, appearance and attitude to represent both VITALpeople and our customers' business on the sites that they are asked to work at.
All workers placed by VITALpeople will be supplied on the basis of 100% compliance to current and future legislative standards. All workers will be eligible to work in the UK and our clients are given open book audit authority as a contractual right.
VITALpeople carries out full competency checks for all workers supplied to our customers. We will always obtain copies of appropriate certificates and skills validation passports. Where relevant we will also conduct online and physical background checks to ensure that the certificates provided to us are genuine and valid. These will include CISRS, CSCS, CCDO, SICCS, BES, Gas Safe, JIB, IRATA, Skillcard and CITB. However, we give all of our customers a simple assurance that we will take every possible step to ensure that the workers we supply are competent in the disciplines that they claim.
All workers placed with our customers receive a detailed assignment brief and off-site induction document which provides them with clear instructions relating to customer contact detail, directions, site rules, performance expectations, reporting procedures, query processes, quality standards, appearance and uniform, behavioural expectations, health & safety requirements.
VITALpeople ensure that all workers supplied to our customers are in possession of appropriate work-wear, uniform and Personal Protective Equipment. In most cases we will agree appearance and PPE rules with each customer for each site that we provide workers for. However, it is standard practice for all of our workers to wear VITALpeople branded outerwear that is provided for them at the beginning of each assignment and we always ensure that the distribution of any additional equipment that is required causes an absolute minimum of disruption for our customers.
All workers placed by VITALpeople will be treated fairly and in accordance with the rights afforded to them under the legislative frameworks set out for them by the Health & Safety Executive, Working Time Regulations, BIS, AWR and the Conduct Regulations. Ethical standards expected by The GLA, Sedex and our customers will be observed at all times. VITALpeople will never mislead any worker regarding the nature of an assignment and we will never misrepresent any opportunity that may become available to any worker.
All workers are provided with a full job description and assignment specification (detailing the recruitment process) at the beginning of the application procedure. This information will be provided in multiple languages to ensure that all rules, procedures and requirements are clearly understood by the candidates.
Temporary Workers placed by VITALpeople are employed on a Contract of Employment. The terms of these contracts vary depending on the assignment criteria. All VITALpeople Temporary Workers are paid weekly on a full-contribution PAYE basis.
Contractors placed by VITALpeople are employed via HMRC Umbrella organisations or IR35 Compliant payment agreements. The terms of these contracts vary depending on the assignment criteria.
