Supply Chain Manager

  • Contract: Permanent

Working for this established and growing organisation, the Supply Chain Manager will work closely with the Operations Director, attending weekly meetings with suppliers and blue-chip customers, managing follow up actions. You will be responsible for the management of customer accounts ensuring orders are delivered on time and customers are kept fully updated.  You will monitor shipping activity, chasing where required and tracking delivery compliance, challenging where appropriate.

The Supply Chain Manager will be rewarded with 22 days’ holidays plus Bank Holidays, plus an impressive benefits package.

As the Supply Chain Manager your hours of work would be 09:00am – 17:00pm, Monday – Friday.

To apply for the Supply Chain Manager, you should be competent in using Excel and previous experience in retail buying/ merchandising is desirable, but not essential.


Key Skills –

  • Must have excellent Excel skills. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Excel and familiar with V/H-Lookups and Pivot tables, have the ability to pull data from other systems into Excel. The position involves a lot of work using Excel so a deep understanding is a must.
  • The ideal candidate must be highly numerate and possess excellent communication skills as the role will involve communicating with blue chip company merchandisers and buyers on a regular basis.
  • Highly organised, the ideal candidate must be able to manage their time effectively and have proven ability to take initiate and manage changing priorities under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and complex environment where things can change rapidly. The ideal candidate will be required to manage orders from blue chip clients, pass orders over to internationally based factories, manage the delivery logistics, ensuring minimum order numbers are met and maintaining efficiency of container loading.
  • The role requires a strong understanding of accounting/ERP systems, and have experience of using these applications (e.g. Opera) and will be proficient in exporting data into Excel.
